Easy Sundays

Sunday evenings have a particular quality in Bath. During the summer months, especially around the solstice, the evening light lingers a little longer, encouraging us to slow down and savour the final hours of the weekend. There's a moment, usually around six o'clock, when the weekend feels like it might slip away, and Monday looms just beyond the horizon.

We wanted to change that.

For too long, Sunday nights have felt like an ending. A wind-down. Something to endure before the working week begins. But they don't have to be. Sunday can be a pause, a celebration, or the perfect way to welcome the week ahead. A night that feels as worth lingering over as Saturday, but in a different way. Quieter. More considered. A little nostalgic.

That's what Easy Sundays is about.

Every other Sunday from the 5th July, between 6pm and 8pm, join us for an evening meal or drinks and live local jazz. 

Led by local musician John Martin and a rotating collective of talented jazz performers. Open windows with music drifting from the terrace, a seat beside the crackling hearth, or a table close enough to feel the resonance of the double bass. Your booking, your spot to choose.

We have invited John Martin and a rotating collective of local musicians to help us mark the evening properly. Not as entertainment, but as company. Musicians who understand restraint and know the difference between filling a room with sound and creating an atmosphere.

The drinks option is up to you. A martini stirred at the right temperature, served from the trolley. Thoughtfully crafted low- and no-alcohol cocktails that leave you clear-headed for Monday morning. Or wine? chosen for conversation as much as flavour.

The food is simple and quality-led. Share a perfectly cooked steak, enjoy our schnitzel with lardo fries, or opt for something lighter, such as a classic Caesar salad. These are dishes designed for lingering over.

And on Easy Sundays, that hearth becomes the centre of something warmer than just cooking. It becomes the heart of gathering.
