Francis Hotel Spa local launch event

Earlier this April, we opened the doors to Francis Hotel Spa for a special evening dedicated to heritage, connection and wellbeing in the heart of Bath. As the sun began to set across Queen Square, our seven historic townhouses welcomed neighbours, friends and fellow local businesses for an intimate celebration of this exciting new chapter for Francis Hotel.

With welcome drinks flowing and seasonal canapés being shared throughout the evening, guests were invited to explore our newly opened spa retreat tucked quietly within the hotel. Designed to balance the rich history of our Georgian home with contemporary comfort, the spa offered a calm and thoughtful escape from the pace of everyday life, something we believe beautiful Bath has always done rather well.

Throughout the evening, guests discovered our thermal rituals and learnt more about the philosophy behind our wellness offering through introductions from our partners, GAIA and QMS Medicosmetics. From GAIA’s deeply grounding treatments inspired by nature, to QMS’ pioneering approach to skincare and skin regeneration, the evening was a celebration of wellness in all its forms: restorative, personal and quietly luxurious.

More than anything, the evening reminded us how important community is to our story. It was a pleasure to welcome so many wonderful local businesses and familiar faces through our doors, including Visit Bath, Toniq Fitness, Bath Life, Bath Mums, Decadorn and many others who continue to shape the character and creativity of our city.

For more than 300 years, these townhouses have played their part in the stories of Bath. This evening felt like another chapter worth raising a glass to, one filled with warmth, hospitality and the simple joy of bringing people together.
