ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
We believe hospitality and environmental care go hand in hand. Every day, we're working to reduce waste, conserve energy and water, and lower our carbon footprint through the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative. From eco-friendly cleaning products to thoughtfully chosen amenities, we're creating a healthier environment for our guests and community by removing harmful chemicals from everything we do.
We're proud to partner with Greenview, who help us track our energy and water use and measure our waste. Together, we monitor our progress room by room and guest by guest, setting meaningful targets that create lasting change for our planet.

Our green teams at each property drive continuous improvement and innovation, supported by feedback from guests and staff. We celebrate local cultural heritage and preservation to provide an authentic experience and encourage sustainable travel to nearby biodiverse areas. Through measurable actions and stakeholder collaboration, we're committed to protecting the environments where we operate while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

As one of the original Georgian buildings in Bath, we are a huge part of Bath’s history and through our brand and values, we continue to play an active part within the Bath community. We create initiatives that nurture our team while championing the local businesses and people that make this beautiful city so special.

We collaborate with BRSLI, located in our square, hosting festive activities, local talks, and events. We welcome their members to our venue, ensuring our space serves the broader community.
We partner with Bath's leading independent retailers; Graham and Green and Piglet in Bed, incorporating their expertise into our guest recommendations and local experiences. In Emberwood, we feature Bertinet Bakery and other respected local producers, creating authentic experiences that showcase Bath's culinary heritage.
We develop meaningful guest experiences with established local businesses like Mr B's Emporium, and offer in-room wellness through partnerships with The Space Yoga, featuring sessions led by local instructors. These collaborations ensure our guests experience the authentic character of Bath.

Sourcing Locally
We're passionate about celebrating Bath's incredible local producers, weaving their finest offerings throughout every corner of our hotel, from our restaurant tables to the amenities in your bathroom.
Our restaurant menu tells the story of our region's bounty. You'll discover exceptional ex-dairy meat thoughtfully sourced from Chew Magna's Kelly's Butchers, alongside Wyke Farm's beautiful Pecorino cheese. Even our drinks celebrate local craftsmanship, featuring Fairtrade loose leaf teas from Bath's own Gillards. This mindful sourcing doesn't just reduce our carbon footprint it strengthens the heart of our community and supports our regional economy.
At The Spa at Francis Hotel, we've partnered with GAIA Skincare, whose products are lovingly crafted with organic, British-sourced ingredients rooted in nature. This means our guests enjoy an elevated, luxurious experience while their skin benefits from gentle, chemical-free treatments.

Green Tourism Accreditation
To promote a greener, cleaner environment for people, places and our plants we are involved with the Green Tourism Accreditation programme.
Recognised globally as the gold standard for environmentally friendly practices, we're incredibly proud to hold the prestigious Gold Green Tourism award a testament to our team's dedication and hard work.
Green Tourism celebrates everything we believe in: thoughtfully reducing energy use and embracing efficient, eco-friendly waste solutions, staying beautifully local and seasonal while minimising food miles and choosing sustainable products across our restaurant, spa, and hotel, and nurturing biodiversity to protect the natural world around us in a UNESCO World Heritage City.

CHARITY SUPPORT
As on original local, our hearts are deeply connected to the local charities that make Bath such a caring community, and we're passionate about playing our part in supporting those who need it most.
Through meaningful donations and acts of service to organisations like Genesis Trust and the local Food Bank, we're helping support our neighbours in need. We truly believe hospitality means caring for everyone, not just our hotel guests, but every person who calls this city home.

GIVING BACK YOUR FEEDBACK
Feedback about your visit means everything to us. It helps us to know what we are doing right and learn from any mistakes we may make.
And every time you give us feedback (good or constructive) either via an online site or by direct email to us, then we will plant a tree with our partner More Trees and support their tree planting and community programmes in North Haiti, East Kenya and Madagascar.
It is a little way of us continuing to make small steps towards a greater change for our planet.
