How we continue to build on our investment with a full meetings and events calendar across the year.

2026 is a year of investment for Sutton Hotel Collection. Over £38 million will be invested over the next three years, with reimagined bedrooms, repurposed dining spaces, and redefined guest experiences.   

Our financial investment is a commitment to protecting our legacy and creating new experiences fit for today’s meeting organiser. How do we continue to build on our investment with a full meetings and events calendar across the year?

Today, when speaking to MICE planners we know they are looking at more than just event attendance as a measurement. Attendee engagement is becoming the primary success metric. Building human connection, events that resonate and added value that feels natural and generates genuine   

Proving return on investment (ROI) or return on experience (ROE) needs a clear definition from the start. Let us know your objectives and how you are going to measure them.  If it's post-event purchases, bookings outside of business, report downloads, whatever demonstrates engagement best for you, and we can build together towards a clear outcome. This will help us to design the event format and ensure you smash your objectives.

And this is where the trends become interesting. With an increase in in-person MICE business, how are we investing in creating meaningful connections?

Our attendees are looking beyond the basics toward emotional connection, seeking out events and spaces that create experiences across multiple touchpoints. 

Need a boardroom for four? Great we can do that but let us build you a bespoke cocktail masterclass afterwards, giving you some much needed respite, a chance to unwind and a great cocktail recipe to take home. Bringing the whole team to town? Try a team building treasure hunt around the local area with gifts from local suppliers, building a sense of place and an event spoken about beyond the day.
